We paid extra money to go into the treasury. The treasury held many precious items from the church. Some items were crowns made of gold, silver, and diamond. They had many chalises from the 1500's and 1600's. There was lots of art showing Jesus Christ's death. There were stone carvings telling stories by pictures. I got to pet a stone gargoyle.
There was service going on and someone was singing. Many people were crying. Everyone was very quiet. Everyone was respectful, spiritual, calm, and felt empathy for those who had lost someone.

We got to ring a small bell in the gift shop and when we went outside we saw the bell tower with all the gargoyles and heard the bells and chimes. They were not loud and disturbing. Instead they were relaxing and their sound echoes all over the area.

That is so sweet of you to light a candle for Mackenzie and also to think of bringing one home for us, Thank you. I look forward to seeing more pictures as it certainly looks to be an amazing church. Love you!
