Rest stop in Italy

Rest stops in Italia are a new experience. Washrooms are crazy - the woman's line was monumental, so a few of us used the men's room. The cleaning ladies stayed inside the Bagna and directed traffic and tried to keep up with the "flow". But really it is not like you would sit on the seat anyway - actually they don't bother with the seats at all because there is apparently too much vandalism.
To get a cup of coffee, you got to the cash register, pay for what you want in Italian/English/hand signals combination (cappuccino, chocolate croissants, orange juice) and pay for it (8 euros). Next, you take the receipt to the order counter and show them your receipt. They bring you everything in eat-in cups by default. Then you can position your self around a standing bistro table. It flows like Italian traffic - frantic chaos that seems to work somehow.
