At the Moulin Rouge there were some stunning scenes which I would like to share.
My favourite was the scene where a girl comes on stage. She was not wearing much clothes. The scene was an Eastern Temple. She was probably performing for the visiting Kings. A glass aquarium came out of the floor. In it there were two real live pythons that were slithering in the water. She jumped right in! She was tackling the snakes and twisting them around her body. Before they could touch her, she would swim right under the snakes. This was something I would never, ever do - not for any money or for anything. It was crazy, but very interesting.
There was also a juggler named Terry. He was really interactive with the audience. He even got a couple of people on stage. He didn't call them by their real names. He just named them by where they were from: Denmark, Italia, and Taiwan. He let them play with all sort of props. They even tried juggling. None of them knew how. But wait - he switch the Taiwanese woman's juggling balls to glow-in-the-dark. Then he turned off all the lights in the Moulin Rouge, and it looked like suddenly, she started juggling, but it was really the juggler, Terry. He gave all three helpers a medal, but if they dropped a ball he took away their medals. He was really funny, and reminded me of Mr. Bean.
I really liked other scenes such as the Circus pony scene. My friend Natalia would really have enjoyed this because there were miniature ponies about 2 feet tall. They went with either red or blue trainers, and the trainers led them around the stage. I really enjoyed the acrobats in the show. There was a girl and boy team who were doing really hard tricks involving hand stands, balance, strength, and incredibly strong core muscles. The mob acrobats were half-fighting and half stepping on each other doing flips and throws and other funny tricks. They actually flipped right onto one of the audience tables. We were not at that table - thank goodness. There was also a couple singing while floating above the audience. Wouldn't you be freaked out if a singer was dangling over your head?
The Moulin Rouge was a freaky experience because you could see really cool acts that you would not see anywhere else! That is the best show I have ever seen!
