My Glass Animal Collection

Three days ago, I walked into a gift shop and saw four Murano glass elephants. I decided that I was going to collect glass animals. Those four elephants started off what is becoming quite a big collection! On my first two days collecting I got six animals all together. By the time we left Rome I had seven animals to continue my collection. I had four elephants, a frog, a walrus, and a duck.

When we got to Venice, I couldn't wait to go to the Glass Factory, so that I could just look around. So today I woke up at 6:00 so that I had time to eat breakfast. When we were finished watching demonstrations of glass blowing( for a fact: to make vases they blow through a tube to expand it!), we got to go into the store! There were so many different designs on the vases, so much colour, lots of glassware! But the best part was watching a man making glass eyes for one of the animals.
While Franco, our travel director, was bustling everyone out the doors, he stopped me and Jocelyn and "his friend" bought us both glass animals! I got a deer and Jocelyn got a glass unicorn. They are amazing and when I make labels for them I will thank Franco's "friend" for the amazing gift.
The rest of the day was spent walking around San Marco and I bought a glass butterfly, pig, ladybug, and an octopus. Over all, I would consider today to be successful, as my goal was to buy more animals.
